Dr. Crupper grew up in a small town in Central Kansas and is the oldest of 6 boys. From a young age Michael had a strong interest in medicine. Michael attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City because of the influential ties Rockhurst shared with the St. Louis University Medical program which guaranteed his admittance. However, it was during his time in college that Michael made a decidedly different turn in his idea of medicine. From a young age Michael studied martial arts and was always drawn to the concepts of Oriental Medicine and acupuncture points that are often intertwined with martial arts. So he started to look into what medical schools combined a doctorate program with acupuncture and came across information for the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. It was immediately clear that the concepts of Naturopathic Medicine were exactly what Michael was looking for and the ability to study two amazingly powerful concepts in medicine brought him to Portland to begin his medical career.

Michael graduated from NCNM with dual degrees, a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Science of Oriental Medicine. He treats patients of all ages and all kinds of conditions using the best aspects of each of his degrees to help his patients achieve their optimum health goals. Michael is social and outgoing and loves to help patients understand the core of their health concerns and help address their concerns using the most gentle and effective approaches available. Because of his combined degrees Michael offers expertise in nutritional and botanical medicine, physical manipulation, lifestyle and dietary modification, acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulations as well as pharmaceutical medications.

Outside of his medical practice Michael also teaches part time at the University of Western States where he teaches Nutrition and Botanical Medicine as well as Minor Surgery. He founded the Portland chapter of Ducks Unlimited and currently serves as the District Chairman for Multnomah and Clackamas counties, he is the past President of the Central East Portland Rotary Club, and he sits on the Portland Brownfield Advisory Committee amongst many other community services.

An avid outdoorsman, Michael can often be found in the woods, up the mountain or on the water away from metropolitan Portland when he is not working. Because of his passion for the outdoors and his love of natural medicine many of those who know him lovingly call him an eco-redneck. Michael lives in NorthEast Portland with his beautiful wife and daughter, his hunting dog Clementine and his evil cat Chupacabra.

Jena Honeyman, MCFT
Groups and Individual Counselling
2BWell Group

Marriage, couples & family therapists with an ecopsychology certificate are my credentials but before being an MCFT being a human is truly my best qualification. What sets me apart from the other clinicians is that I haven't lost the ability to be present but am also open to being moved alongside my client/s in both individual and group settings... Vulnerability is my superpower! Folks are willing to touch their pain because I'm not afraid to be side by side on that journey with them.

I hold my MA in Marriage, couples, and family therapy from Lewis and Clark School of Counseling. From teacher, to lead guide in a wilderness program, to therapist, I have many life experiences that help me to facilitate growth and change on multiple levels.

I am able to help folks arrive at answers hidden within themselves by asking questions they may not have thought of. The therapeutic relationship is a different way of being in the presence of another.

I started my journey towards becoming a clinician when I saw the effects of profound transformation and healing that can be facilitated by deep human connections. To be truly seen, felt, and heard, is the greatest gift I can offer my clients.
